This option is used to rotate the cube, anidate dimensions and change  dimension options in only one window, without having to manipulate the cube many times and wait for results each time.

Let's suppose we want to move from this cube view:

to a view that shows the amount for each client hierarchy against class and sport product.

In the layout dialog appears the following sections:

• Headings: shows the dimension names in the heading area 
• Vertical: show the dimension(s) in the left area of the data 
• Horizontal: show the dimension(s) in the upper area of the data

To move a field from one section to another, just drag and drop it. Click once on it, and the click again to begin dragging it.

You also can use the Horiz., Vert., and Header to move the selected field to another area.

You can double click in a dimension name and go to its dimension options window.

To get the view wanted, we double click in the dimension called 'Measures' and the move the dimensions to their desired area to obtain:

Hitting OK button, will show the following cube view:

The changes made in the dimension options screen will be kept, even if the Cancel button is pressed.
