Portfolios management

While you are manipulating your information, is possible that you will want to save your work. Besides saving your work as Views, you can add a each cube view in a portfolio.
This portfolio will keep all the cube views that you added in a single entity. You can save the portfolio in a portfolio .oxb file, edit and play it page by page.
While working with a portfolio you have the following options:

  • Add a slide: Adds the current view to the portfolio. It shows this dialog:
    It asks for the name of this slide. Press Add to add the view.
  •   Edit: Lets you edit or modify the current portfolio. The following dialog is shown:
    with the following options:
    • Title: Descriptive name of the portfolios
    • Enable timer: If this checkbox is selected, stepping from each page to the next one, will be automated, changing every number of seconds.
    • Timer (seconds): Number of seconds to change each page when showing the portfolio. Use 0 to turn it off.
    • Portfolio user mode: This checkbox will turn off several of the toolbar buttons when selected.
    • Close: Erases the current portfolio contents, effectively closing it.
    • Open: Closes this portfolio and opens a new one.
    • Save: Saves the portfolio in a file.
    • Play: Shows each slide of the portfolio.
    • Print Preview: Shows a print preview of your porfolio. (All slides get printed in a single print)..
    • Print: Prints all slides of your portfolio.
    • Export: Exports all slides of the portfolio to htm, Adobe pdf or Microsoft Word format. Either in a single file or in multiple files. (One file per slide).
    • Print each slide in a file: Choose this option if you want to export the portfolio to multiple files. If not checked, all files will be exported to a single file.
    Additionally you can work with each portfolio page that is shown in the page Grid. You can change the name of each page or slide or use the buttons:
    •   to delete the page from the portfolio
    •   to move one line up the selected page
    •   to move one line down the selected page
    •   to close this dialog and open the selected page
    Also, use the following buttons to save the page movements:
    • OK: to save your page changes and close this dialog
    • Cancel: to cancel the changes you made to your views
To see your current portfolio, you use:
  •   Starts showing or playing the current portfolio 
  •   Stops showing or playing the current portfolio
  • Shows the first page of the current portfolio
  •   Goes to the previous page of the current portfolio
  •   Advances to the next page of the current portfolio
  •   Shows the last page of the current portfolio
  •   Lets you go to a specific slide or print and export the current portfolio. 
  •   Lets you add new slide to your current portfolio, even when playing it.

When you change page, all the changes you made to your original page will be lost, so be sure to save your current view as a view file or add it to the current portfolio.
