Conditional format of the cube's values

This dialog of conditional format applies format to the cube numbers according it's values.

It is possible to choose from several formulas to apply conditional format.

  • No format : No conditional format is applied
  • Value range : Applies a different color to the values that are above, below or between a value par. Specify 0 and 0 to distinguish between positive numbers and negative numbers.
  • Average: For each dimension member along a grid axis, this formula is calculated, and applied for each field in the cube when it's below or above a certain percentage of the formula value.
  • Median: As above, but the median is calculated.
  • Standard deviation: As above, but with standard deviation.
  • Variance: As above, but with the variance formula.
  • Fields: Let you choose one or more cube fields and compare against their values. CIick the fields button to choose the fields that you want to compare against.

You can modify the list of Values or Percentage chosen. If the superior value is below the inferior value, this will change to the lesser value plus one.

Press the corresponding Back and Front buttons to put the color wanted. If you press a button and choose a color, the button face will be shown with bold letters so you know the option is activated. Press it again to cancel the formatting.

In the screen above, all values closer than 15% to the average will be painted with an orange backcolor, to get this result:

In the image above, we are calculating the average for the Horizontal axis, this means that for each member of dimension Customers, it's average is applied and is calculated for each field of dimension Class. For example, 1129100 is the average of all Customers->Total fields, so 1091739 is the only one closer than 15%. You can change the condition formula direction to Vertical axis instead, and the average or formula will be calculated for the members of the vertical dimension and applied to the horizontal members.

Use dimension view Only my sons and show them with Total and average to get the members average of 752733 as in the picture below (see the effect of direction vertical):
