Write data to cube

With MS Analysis Services is possible to write enable cubes, this means that the cube users can change the underlying cube data and keep it permanently. To make this you must consult you MS Analysis Manager documentation.

With this software all final nodes of a cube can be changed, provided that there are final nodes for all dimensions in the cube. If your cube is write enabled, you can also change all the values in the cube, but be careful about it, these kind of operations can take a lot of your computer resources.

With local cubes, you can change the cube data while working with it, but it can't be saved permanently.

When the toolbar button is shown in green, it means that there is data that have changed, but hasn't been saved permanently to the cube. When pressing the green button, the following dialog appears where you can use the following options:

• Save:  Save changes to the cube
• Cancel: Cancel all the changes made to the cube. You no longer can save them later.
• Close: Closes this dialog. You can save your cube changes later.
